5 ways New Jersey Martial Arts kids classes can help your child get better grades.
1. Engaging in Martial Arts Classes
The cornerstone of all Martial Arts is self-defense. The ability to DEFEND yourself against a BULLY is an empowering feeling. Our lessons will help instill respect, mental focus, discipline, and self-confidence. Punching, kicking, throwing, and locking are all secondary to respect; that respect forms the moment you walk into a class. Martial Arts requires concentration and discipline, the ability to focus on a task and see it through and to diffuse a situation without violence. Your child will gain self-confidence and have the ability to handle stressful situations, alleviating anxiety and promoting inner strength.
2. Working Hard
In our classes your child will spend their time being physically active. Children spend so much of their time these days inside, mostly sitting down in front of a screen. Our class provides a wonderful opportunity to MOVE. Punching, kicking, grappling, and safe rough housing! When kids are physically active and challenged they discover their true capabilities.
3. Developing Friendships and Goals
It’s said, “Show me your friends and I’ll show you who you are.” In our Martial Arts classes the ultimate goal will be teamwork and friendships, but we will also focus on self-mastery and goal achievement. We will work with your child on realizing that friends matter. More importantly, how to be a good friend and how to choose a good friend; people with similar goals and values.
4. Unplug from their phones
Unplug from their Phones. When kids take a break from TV, cell phones, and the Internet, they discover their creative powers. We will engage the real world— real people, real activities, and real emotions. They'll realize, there’s always plenty to do.
5. Your child will earn self respect and learn discipline on their way to earning belts and stripes.
There is no secret that Martial Arts can help improve your child's self respect and discipline. Being aware of the fact that you are more than capable of protecting yourself in the face of of a bully is one of the most assuring things I can help your child develop. This also plays a big part in making children extremely respectful and disciplined, and ready to take on any challenges.
Why parents are excited
Marco is an excellent owner and teacher and an even better person. He has a strong sense of character and demands the same from his students. As a third-degree blackbelt he has exceptional knowledge of Martial Arts. Marco is not only a teacher but a father and has an excellent rapport with kids of all ages. I highly recommend NJMA for the new, the young, the old, and anyone in between. NJMA has been life changing and I am forever grateful for this journey that I have begun and am so excited for my two boys to begin.
I began training at this school because of my love for martial arts. But I am also the father of a 10yr daughter and I realize how important it is to know your child is safe when they are not with you. My daughter feels comfortable with everyone in this school and Marco goes out of his way to develop a friendship with his students and their children even if they don’t train there. This is exactly why I decided to sign my daughter up for classes and she’s excited to begin learning.
